	Some interesting facts about worms! ° Worms are hermaphrodites (they have both male / female organs). ° Worms weigh about 250g per 1000. ° Worms can eat their own weight daily. ° Mature worms (2-3 months old) lay eggs. ° Worm eggs have 1-20 babies. ° Worms can double their population in 6-8 weeks. ° Worms will limit their population to the space they have. ° There are three main types of composting worms:  ¯ Tigers (Eisenia fetida)  ¯ Reds (Lumbricus rubellus)  ¯ Indian Blues (Perionyx excavatus) ° There are 3,500 species of worms throughout the world. ° The largest worm in Australia is the giant Gippsland worm (Megascolides australis)
